About Angie J - The Founder:
"Princess Angie J is an American business proprietor, media personality, actress, author, and Findom Princess. She is the founder of the digital media and online entertainment company formally known as Angie J Socialite, LLC, commonly known as ANGIE J."
EARLY LIFE / BACKGROUND
2010 - 2016
2010 - 2016
Angie J, early 20s, was born on January 7th and first began her journey as an actress and content creator at just 10 years old; earning her first few acting roles in modest school plays until she graduated at 18 years old with a sturdy foundation built from performing in more advanced musicals, plays, and productions. Simultaneously, in 2010, she started creating online content using her then blog, www.angiej.com, that was originally started as a class project in elementary school and has now been revolutionized into the official ANGIE J website.
As a child blogger, she wrote about her favorite celebrities, moments from her daily life, news stories she found exciting, and events that piqued her interest. She did not know it yet, but this pivotal moment in 2010 was the initial move that put her on her path as a young entrepreneur, digital content creator, and online media personality in Chicago, Illinois.

She did not know it yet, but this pivotal moment in 2010 was the initial move that put her on her path as a young entrepreneur, digital content creator, and online media personality in Chicago, Illinois.
Angie has been sporadically producing online media for over half a decade and then consistently creating content for the other half as the earlier years were primarily spent on completing school and finalizing her intense college preparation to attend a university and earn a bachelor's degree in Psychology. However, although production was paused on the surface, the plans; the ideas; and the endless possibilities that keep ANGIE J running smoothly today never halted inside her mind. By the time she was almost done with her schooling, she knew she wanted to make creating and art more permanent and full-time endeavors instead.
She just needed to know when she could do it and how because the sense of impending doom that lingered after realizing the massive mistake that she was about to make, pursuing social science, only grew stronger and stronger by the day. |
The reality of being catapulted into college life was finally taking its toll on her in 2016 and Angie had no idea how she would free herself without becoming a failure in the eyes of her parents and irreversibly disappointing her entire family. As her immediate family's first-born child and eldest daughter, Angie could not help but to feel a natural, yet unexplainably heavy, sense of responsibility to make her family proud.
How could she refuse to go to college? She was supposed to be a role model to her younger siblings. What kind of message was this decision going to send to them?
How could she refuse to go to college? She was supposed to be a role model to her younger siblings. What kind of message was this decision going to send to them?
You have to actually achieve something for the younger ones to aspire to in order to set a high-quality example. What would the family think of her choice and what would they really say if she told them her truth? There was no way to be sure and that is what scared her the most, pushing her to keep quiet; accept her greatly undesired fate as her Senior Year progressed; and just try to carry on with whatever plan felt best for the sake of her family. But then, after graduating from high school, Angie finally got her chance to explore the path she felt was best for HER.
Angie J was an academic high achiever, college bound, and ready to apply to various universities in Chicago and around the country. She graduated summa cum laude, holding a 3.8 out of 4.0 Unweighted GPA (4.75 out of 5.0 Weighted), wearing black 5 1/2-inch stiletto heels, draped in a white commencement ceremony gown, and within the top 2% of her Senior class. |
With above-average test scores and plenty of college credit at her disposal from succeeding in Advanced Placement courses, Angie was told that the world was her oyster.
The encouragement that she received from her loved ones, counselors, family, and teachers for her academic achievements would make any person feel that they could go anywhere and prosper in every core academic subject imaginable, such as history; mathematics; language arts; science; or other.
The support for her academic career overflowed dramatically and the timer had run out, graduation was here, so it was time to solidify her decisions for the future.
Angie’s favorite subject had always been English until she fell in love with Social Science before graduating, and because she adored Psychology, the most evident route for her was to attend a university and receive her Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology; but the only person who failed to make Angie feel assured in her choice to take that route was herself.

Although she loved Social Science after earning college credit in AP Psychology and AP Microeconomics in school, that was not where her heart lived. Her passion was Theatre; in the house running the lights or sound equipment; staying late hours every single day helping build grand sets; rehearsing lines and scenes obsessively until her mind was numb and her body was exhausted; and standing center stage on the proscenium floor directly in the shining lights with live orchestra music blaring beautifully from beneath her feet.
Angie enjoyed behind the scenes work and often dedicated a lot of her time as a backstage crew member when she was not performing but acting, singing, and dancing as a performer in shows was her focal point. She had performed in a plethora of live productions in her schools since she was 10, |
such as reading for the lead role of the Narrator in a children’s production for an adaptation of the book Abiyoyo by Pete Seeger at 10 years old; singing as Bloody Mary in the musical South Pacific at 12 years old; performing as Consuelo in the musical West Side Story at 15 years old; and many more productions up until she turned 18. She was even elected as the President of her high school’s Theatre Club in her Senior Year. Angie just could not fathom or stomach the thought of giving all of that up or pushing that passion to the side.
CAREER / FOUNDATION
2017 - 2020 Despite the disapproval of some of her teachers, Angie J wanted to attend a performance arts school for her Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. As expected, educators who did not agree with her decision insisted that she was "wasting her potential" due to her past history of academic success.
On the other hand, her family remained highly supportive just as they had been during her early years and, in her eyes, that was all that she needed in order to move forward and apply to a performance arts school; specifically, Columbia College Chicago or the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. She also considered moving to New York City for live theatre or Los Angeles for media production. |
However, financially backing these ambitious goals; having the time to meet all of the requirements necessary for attending a school that aligned with her plans; and preparing for pursuing a professional career in acting outside of college was becoming a hassle. Angie started to conclude that performance arts and a career in production was not a part of the group of cards that she was dealt in this life. At least, not in the way that she originally thought.
Moreover, her youngest sibling needed daycare which was costing the family over $600 a month and auditions required experience beside school, professional headshots, demo reels, and more. These were all things that Angie just did not have and could not get at that time.
Then, there was the glaring possibility of becoming a “starving actor” and facing the highly probable fate of struggling to find work or any lucrative opportunities in show business as an actress. As everyone probably knows, a performer’s worst nightmare is to fall into the ominous pit of being a “starving artist”.
So, once again, another objective was scrapped and Angie’s path had changed.
Fortunately, this new route was facing the exact direction that she needed to go in but she had no idea what was headed her way or where she would end up after having to abandon another seemingly solid plan. She genuinely believed that all was lost and despite her academic success, she had abandoned all plans for universities; performance schools; and furthering her education.

This was until she grew a passion for nail technology after watching videos about nail education for beginners on YouTube. Angie gained a lot of knowledge during her time watching videos but she knew she needed to attend a trade school, especially since she wanted to be a legally certified manicurist; obtain professional skills; and gain clientele.
She quickly realized that she could attend a cosmetology school, discovered she could become certified within nine months, decided she would start her own business as a nail technician, and could not wait to finally see prosperity from all her years of hard work and dedication. She was finally going to reach the top, be successful, and make her family proud just like she always dreamed she would while growing up. |
In 2017, her new course of action was to baby-sit her youngest sibling, who was only one year old at that time, until they were old enough to attend kindergarten so she could help her family save money on daycare and so she could pursue a career for her newfound passion as a nail technician. So, it was settled. Angie J spent four years baby-sitting and saving money to become a professional manicurist.
During the springtime of the third year, she had saved enough; was accepted into a school for Nail Technology; felt ready to put her plans into action; and finally believed that her life was coming together. She was sure that this new plan of starting her own business as a nail technician would be her moment of triumph. However, this was a new plan for a new career that was quickly snatched away from her when lockdown for the pandemic began 24 hours before her first official day of beauty school in 2020.

However, this was a new plan for a new career that was quickly snatched away from her when lockdown for the pandemic began 24 hours before her first official day of beauty school in 2020.
Angie really could not believe that something else had gone horribly wrong and caused her to put her life’s dreams on the back burner for the second time in a row. Just as the plans for performance arts college, the plans for beauty school slipped through Angie J’s fingers and washed down the drain. With a pandemic right outside her front door and the entire world stuck inside, frozen in limbo, what could Angie possibly do now? She felt she was running out of options and was filled with disappointment in herself because she had failed to achieve anything noteworthy since leaving school and abandoning the performance arts.
She truly felt like a failure.
Angie J was broken-hearted when this new opportunity, the one that she felt would finally put her back on the right path, was suddenly destroyed.

Yet, miraculously, she did not have to pay for school or finalize her application until the day she attended her first class but that day never happened and the pandemic quickly made nail technology, a profession involving a considerable amount of close contact with others, quite unappealing. Plus, lockdown extending for over a year gave Angie enough time to realize she could work from home and she became interested in finding ways to do so permanently as lockdown progressed.
After being trapped in her home for over a year she no longer felt that she absolutely needed to attend nail school because all throughout 2017 to 2020, while preparing to dedicate her life to nail technology, Angie J had been discreetly exploring the possibility of growing her presence online through social media and learning ways of earning money as a media personality. Ultimately, her desire to become an actress and performer never left, even though her plans to go to school did. |
Considering the fact that she was forced to stay at home, she simply adjusted her focus from live theatre to digital media production which she could easily explore from home with social media. She did not have to make any pleas or break the news to her family that she did not want to go to beauty school so she could dedicate her attention to content creating because that decision was practically made for her before it became too late for her to go back. She only realized this after revitalizing her dream for performance arts through online content creation in 2020 and 2021.
Then, in 2022, Angie realized in hindsight that she would have never been truly happy as a manicurist just as she would not have been truly happy in social science. Her heart had always been with theatre and the art of performing since she was a child and, as an adult, that still had not changed.

The moments that she believed to be failures, causing her to think that the teachers who asserted that she was “wasting her potential” were correct, actually turned out to be the stepping stones that pushed her to devise her greatest plan yet.
By 2021, she decided she was going to transform her small blog www.angiej.com, a website that she had started over 10 years ago in elementary school for a class project, and build an online entertainment company using her business knowledge that she gained while preparing to start her career as a manicurist. Through this new company she would model, produce video content, create exclusive designs for personalized products, offer marketing services, sell digital media, and more. That company was soon going to become Angie J Socialite, LLC, commonly known today as ANGIE J. |
After having a brand-new plan placed firmly in her hand; Angie was back in business, literally, and returned to doing what she loved. But this time, with her own terms; with her own rules; and with full creative control.
She was going to work as hard as she could to make this new venture work. She was determined and inspired to be a public figure while owning a company that could stand the test of time, support her as a media personality, and make her family proud. Angie J had finally cracked the code.

ANGIE J was founded by Angie J in 2010 and a large part of her immense vision for the company has always included the idea of blending elements of a business magnate and a socialite into a single entity. An obviously quite ambitious goal that, while sounding plain when explained, proved to be an entirely much more distressing and taxing endeavor as the enterprise began to form and started to expand into a legitimized business.
The deep-rooted want to succeed was embedded in her very being. But over time, as the company changed and grew, she would spiral into madness daily and undoubtedly lost herself in an attempt to catch a seemingly uncatchable dream.
